Nota d'usoIl sostantivo pacco, usato soprattutto in ambito postale, nella maggior parte dei casi non va tradotto letteralmente con “pack”. I termini corretti per indicare un pacco o pacchetto postale sono “parcel” e “package”: È appena arrivato un pacco, a package/parcel has just arrived (non a pack has just arrived). Le parole “pack” o “packet” indicano una confezione di un prodotto, e a volte corrispondono all'italiano pacchetto: un pacchetto di sigarette, a pack (o packet) of cigarettes; una confezione di batterie, a packet (o pack) of batteries. -
